It's a story of innovation, resilience, and problem-solving, and I'm thrilled to share this intimate look at the process that led to the successful completion of this endeavor.
Challenge
Cruz Roja Sierra Norte in Madrid challenges The Bridge Talent School to create a digital solution to assist women victims of gender violence in this area of Madrid.
The SARA Project was born as a response to this challenge by a multidisciplinary team formed by UX/UI Design, Full Stack Development, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Cloud & DevOps and Digital Marketing.
Solution
We help women victims of gender-based violence in the Sierra Norte (Madrid) through a secure and anonymous website that provides them with information and resources in the area and immediate support through an AI-based chat.
What I learned
Gender-based violence is a topic from which it is very difficult to extract reliable statistics due to the lack of verbalization and reporting of real situations.
Rural areas such as Sierra Norte in Madrid have different characteristics from other larger cities.
I have learned to relate with stakeholders and to value their opinion about the digital product we made.
Working with different verticals in such a large group of people has reinforced tolerance to criticism, negotiation and communication.
The importance of branding and naming.
Designing a chatbot has awakened my desire to investigate more about the design of this type of interfaces.
